Most of the day should be pretty quiet a long the front range, however the passage of a front later this afternoon may create prime conditions for severe weather along the front range after 6pm this evening. Given the similarities to the July 20 setup, its easy to overhype this event, however I believe there is enough potential to warrant being prepared for some stout storms along the I-25 corridor from Cheyenne to Castle Rock later today. I'll be playing the setup this evening if things do unfold that way. And just for the record as of the 1300z outlook, we are not slighted at this time.
Biggest threats today will be hail and flooding rains. However given the low level shear in place post-frontal, a tornado may also be possible. I would say that chances are on the lower end of possible, but its certainly worth keeping an eye on. My biggest hope is for some decent sized hail today.
The issue, of course, being that the more favorable areas for severe weather are along the heavily populated corridor along the front range. If a severe storm does form along this area, it will add to the already monster Colorado storm totals for this season. Those along the front range have your garages handy just in case.
I don't have a set plan of attack right now, but figure to let things unfold a bit through this evening to decide if I follow storm development south from say Fort Collins or if I pick an area to sit and wait. Regardless, I want to be ready to go mobile as soon as storms start to form.
More later...

Just got back to Loveland from Ft. Morgan after following these cells this afternoon off the mountains. Nice hail north (3/4") and wind/lightning. Now I see the cell I was following went tor warned. Just my luck. It looks like tomorrow has possibilities as well. Good call on today, Tony. Hope you got into some stuff.
